Beautiful Memories

Scrapbook Layout created for JustNick Studio  - BEAUTIFUL  MEMORIES -

Hi there!
Nathalie with you today with a new layout about one of my favorite people in the world, my aunt, Pamela!.  She and I are the same age, and have grown up together, but now live in different hemispheres.    So i wanted to use some of the new (and upcoming) cut files to document a picture of the 2 of us, while we were visiting my native Ecuador.

To create the background of this page, i welded a few images of the Floral Background 2 (which will be available starting tomorrow), and then combined it with one of the hearts in the Hearts 2 cut file to obtain the background for this page

I backed just a few of the flowers with papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Bohemian Dreams collection ( i love all the purple tones in the papers, so I had to use them in this layout).

Next, the Flowers cut file was used to create just the silhouette of the floral motifs from the heart - i sized the images so that they matched the ones used in the heart background).  These flowers were then backed with white vellum, and then attached with pop dots to the background.   Just loved the softness of the flowers, so there was no need to add much embellishments to the page, just a few pieces from the collection were enough to complete this page.

I hope this inspires you to mix and fuse some of the stores cut files to create a one-of-a-kind project.   There are so many beautiful designs available  (and coming to) in the JustNick Studio store; stop by, and check them out!!!

Remember I am always a comment away if you have questions on how this came together.

Scrapbook Layout created for Scrapbook Nerd  - #EXPLORE -

Hello everyone!

As we are gearing towards the end of the year, I find that i have not make a dent  at documenting  my vacation memories.   So i will try and spend some of my winter break working on creating pages about our travels, and this is the first of many to come.  For this project i am using the Escape the Ordinary collection from Pinkfresh Studio that i picked from Scrapbook Nerd (and for whom this page is being created)

I created this layout using the large triangular forms as my inspiration for the page. I used an exacto knife to cut them out so that i could form a mountain range as the background for a picture of my daughter and cousin (in Ecuador) at the top of a mountain .

A bit of Distress Oxide Inks helps recreate the background of the page, so that it gives the idea of a mountain scene.   I chose to then pop the triangles with some  foam adhesive to the background.

All the embellishment pieces from the Escape the Ordinary collection work seamlessly to bring to life the feeling in this page,   I took advantage of all the angles in the  page to add clusters and the title of the page.   Here is final layout:

I love this page!  the colors in the collection, along with the angles in the design are beautiful.   If  you would like to see the entire collection, stop by Scrapbook Nerd to pick this, and the many other beautiful goodies available at the store.

Remember to contact me if you have questions on how this came together.

See you all soon!

Scrapbook Layout created for Citrus Twist Kits  - FAMILY LOVE -

hi there!

I am up on the Citrus Twist Kits blog with this new layout that showcases this month's Stories kit, This is Life "Gathering" stamp, and "Wild Thing" Add on kit.

I think is my love for typography that drew me to the large chipboard words included in the add-on kit.  So i formed a simple design that would showcase both the title and picture in the layout.

The colors in the papers in this month's kit were the starting point for this page.   A bit of acrylic paint and watercolor create the background for the strips of paper.   A bit of gold shimmer paint bring the large word forward; the script word from the This is Life stamp complete the title.

To balance the title, I used a large picture of my son and nephew.   This month's exclusive ephemera is perfect to create clusters around the picture; and all those word stickers from Pinkfresh Studio are great to add small sentiments around the page.  Here is a small video that shows a condensed version of how this page came together:

I hope you stop by the  Citrus Twist Kits to check all the kits and stamps used in this layout.  The new and exclusive products are gorgeous!
